Vanilla+ Tweaks
Twenty little upgrades that make vanilla feel finished.
What it is
A grab-bag of quality-of-life tweaks that keep the vanilla feel but sand off the rough edges. No new machines, no new ores — just Minecraft behaving the way you always kind of expected it to.
Building & items
- Custom shaped portals — build nether portals in any closed shape, crying obsidian welcome.
- Better armor stands — stands have arms; shift-click one empty-handed to cycle poses.
- Invisible item frames — right-click a frame with shears to hide the frame (it reappears when emptied).
- Silk touch paintings & spawners — collect the exact painting variant, or pick up a mob spawner for decoration.
- Lock chests — shift-right-click a chest or barrel with a trial key and it opens for you alone (hoppers can't steal from it either).
- Better tridents — loyalty tridents thrown into the void come home.
- Throwable fireballs — right-click air with a fire charge. Fwoosh.
Mobs & pets
- Call your pets — play a goat horn and your wandering pets teleport to you.
- Transfer pets — leash your pet, shift-right-click a friend, and it's theirs now.
- Keep baby animals — feed a baby a poisonous potato and it stays smol forever.
- Silence mobs — a name tag named
silencemutes a mob;unsilenceundoes it. - Shear name tags — right-click a named mob with shears to pop the tag back off.
- Villagers follow emeralds — hold an emerald block and watch them trail you like seagulls.
- Zombie horses — lightning strikes can spawn a zombie riding a zombie horse. Slay the rider, claim the steed.
- Mob & player heads — chance-based head drops on kills.
World & HUD
- Smooth sleep — when enough players sleep, the night fast-forwards as a slick animation instead of an instant snap.
- Coordinate HUD —
/hudputs your coordinates, facing and the time on the action bar.
