What it is
Eternal Realms supports proximity voice chat: players near you in the world can hear you talk, and voices fade with distance. Building together, sailing together, or getting jump-scared in a cave together all hit different when you can actually hear each other.
How to set it up
- Install the Simple Voice Chat mod on your client (available for Fabric and Forge, plus most modded launchers).
- Join the server like normal. The mod connects automatically.
- Press the voice chat key (
Vby default) to open the voice menu, set push-to-talk or voice activation, and adjust volumes.
Good to know
- No mod, no problem: voice chat is optional. You can hear-nothing-say-nothing and play like always.
- Groups let you keep talking to your crew across any distance, perfect for ship voyages.
- Mic etiquette is covered by the same rule as chat: be kind.
